Doit Industries silver brightener is brightener B for traditional silver plating electrolytes. It is to be used in conjunction with Silver Brightener B and the two products together assist in the forming or maintenance of traditional silver plating electrolytes. These two components are to be added at recommended values to a solution consisting of silver cyanide, potassium cyanide, and water to create a ready-to-use silver plating solution. Without a complex brightening system, silver cyanide and potassium cyanide alone do not have the characteristics to deposit bright or thick. The addition of the brighteners provides a silver layer that is thick, hard, and extremely white. The system is ideal to act as a surface leveling agent in poorly fabricated silver goods, electroforming processes, or any process that requires a high wear-resistant deposit of 99.9% pure silver.
